In the beginning, there was only vast nothingness in which only chaos energies flowed, distorting even the nothingness that was there. There was no magic, and therefore, no life. That is, until one day, a winged beast flew in from an alternate dimension, laid an egg, and flew away. The egg quickly hatched, even in the cold of the shadows and revealed Tiamat, the dragon queen. She took all the chaos energies into herself and converted them into magic, using it to create the universe as we know it. Alas, young Tiamat grew lonely, and created a playmate as well: Atum.
Now Atum and Tiamat were close, being the only two beings in the universe, but they tired of each other's company every now and again. Thus, one day when Tiamat was sleeping, he created many others like themselves. Tiamat was surprised, but not upset, and thus the other dragons were allowed to keep their newly-formed lives.
Still, something did not feel right, and Isis knew it. From herself, she created all the smaller beings that now roam Aurae--from the tiniest rabbit to the largest wolves and tigers. Now Tiamat was displeased, but did not punish Isis for she knew the young dragon meant well.
The more intelligent species, the canines and felines, remembered where they had come from and honored the Gods, as they called them, and were thus granted with small tastes of their power. Some of them even mutated under the brilliance of the magic.
The canines and felines alike lived in harmony until the day Sekhemt went missing. The most common theory is that she's been kidnapped, but if a God can be kidnapped--especially the one of war--how safe are the civilians?
